The Shimba Hills Lodge is the only ‘tree lodge’ within Kenya’s Coastal rain forest. An award winning design when built in 1986, it was commissioned as a coastal alternative to the famous Tree Tops. Throughout its construction emphasis was upon natural materials with cedar wood dominating resulting in a warm and relaxing interior.

The spacious suites are as perfect for honeymooners as for families. The comfortable living room allows you to relax after a game drive, that’s unless you decide to have your sundowner on the balcony within the trees overlooking the waterhole. The African design, adjusted to modern standards, will make you feel at home but with a touch of added adventure.

All  twin rooms have two single beds, (90cm x 200cm) that face the waterhole. You just might wake to see game drinking there in the mornings. Large glass doors allow access to your own small balcony for an even better view.
Triple room are as per twin room but with extra bed.
