Lake Victoria Hotel

Location: The hotel is located at the doorstep of the hills and lakes. There is a Golf course nearby and a zoo, a park and restaurants, the Entebbe hotel is favorable for exploring the local sights. Families can visit the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre with a 15 min drive. 

Lake Victoria Hotel became operational in 1948 during the colonial time under Governor Cohen who lived in the current State House. This place had been designed to be his recreational center. He named it Lake Victoria Hotel, after the lake which was also named after the Queen of England, Queen Victoria. On her visit to Uganda in 1958, The Queen of England resided in this Hotel. 

The attention to detail is evident in the beautiful gardens and the location on a slight hill adds to the tranquil atmosphere.

Rooms: The hotel has 144 rooms. There are standard single rooms, double executive rooms, twin executive rooms, Junior suite. King rooms and King Suite pool view.

Restaurant: African and continental dishes. The restaurant has also a’ la carte menus. Buffet is served at three newly refurbished outlets. The hotel serves morning and afternoon tea/coffee brewed and spiced with assorted pastries and served with a selection of snacks.

Facilities: The hotel has an outdoor pool and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Certain rooms have views of the pool or garden.
