Governors Il Moran

Location: Hidden under ancient trees deep in the forest, are just ten tents which line the winding banks of the Mara River. This is the camp for those who want that extra bit of luxury. Governors’ Il Moran ***** is small and intimate, with added touches that place this camp at the top of the safari accommodation range. You’ll be the personal guest of the manager who will look after all your needs.

Tent amenities: Very spacious luxurious safari tents under canvas, each with private verandah, ensuite bathrooms with bath, large shower, twin basins, flush toilet, running cold and hot water. There are a lovely range of ‘Cinnabar Green’ toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and body lotion) in the tents. These products are refilled into reusable metal canisters so as to reduce on plastic waste. They are also handmade in Kenya with natural ingredients and are therefore in keeping with the sensitive environment. The camp urge you to please use these products rather than your own. These toiletries are supplied for the duration of your stay and if you would like to buy some to take on wards with you, the full range ins available in the camp gift shop.

Electric lights in the tents, 220/240 UK Volt plugs for charging cameras and phones. All tents have USB charging ports. There is a stock of international plug adapters. Wifi is available in camp.

Restaurant:  meals are served on the raised wooden decking of the main mess and dining tent which offers a birds eye view of the snorting hippos below. Breakfast is a continental and Full English, lunch is served as a buffet with fresh salads al fresco and dinner is a la carte in the main dining tent. The camp cater for special diets on request. Bush meals are available to book at an extra cost.
