Gorilla Close up

Location: Gorilla Closeup lodge is strategically located on southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you easily track Mountain Gorillas from Rushaga and Nkuringo Gate. The lodge is built on a 40 acre piece of land that shares the boundary with the park that has made it possible for mountain gorillas more especially the nkuringo gorilla groups visit our lodge in search for myrica,eucalyptus tree backs,fans and many other indigenous shrubs gorillas like feeding on.

Accommodation: There are luxury cottages, very spacious with the best views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Virunga National Park in Congo, Albertine Rift Valley, surrounding communities and many more, standard cottages, luxury family cottages with 3 spacious rooms connected together each room with 2 big beds and you can as well add a third bed if you wanted. Rafiki crafted rooms: 4 rooms each self-contained with unobstructed views of the forest with an immediate organic garden which works as our source of organic food.  Each room has a balcony for 2 people where you can sit and watch the forest, Birds, Mist and many more.

Activities: You can walk from the lodge and track Nkuringo Gorilla group and you easily drive to Rushaga which is the gorilla tracking starting point for 5 Gorilla groups of Nshongi, Mishaya, Kahungye, Bweza and Busingye. This activity is normally planned for a whole day because tracking gorillas can take from 30 minutes walk to 9 hours walk depending on movement of Gorillas.

Other activities are: visiting Batwa community visit, picnic, volunteering, Volcano hking at Mgahinga.
