Buffalo Safari lodge
Location: Buffalo Safari Lodge *** is located near the magical Kazinga channel, 1 km from the Kasese-Mbarara road. The resort is set in 25 acres of private wilderness, a serene environment teeming with spectacular wildlife – elephants, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs and many bird species, all at a glance. With well-experienced staff, eye-catching facilities, a lounge that gives a spectacular view of the privately owned Lake Rubirizi, Kazinga Channel River and the world famous Queen Elizabeth Park.
Rooms: The deluxe double and single rooms: Each room has a large living room of 770 m² with a beautiful bathroom decorated with Danish stump floor, matte wall, toilet with low flush, a bidet complete with shataf, 3 ways of bath option – the bath , a bronze shower and an instant kettle. Enjoy the warmth and sophistication of this luxurious suite equipped with a queen size bed, a mural, fine deco, a sitting area and a large private balcony, ideal for a cup of coffee or tea with your favorite hot drink.
Standard Double and Single Rooms: The standard rooms overlook the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth Park and have a living area of 400 m², complete with a private balcony/terrace. Equipped with double beds or single beds, and electrically powered instant water heater showers.
Family cottage: This is a family friendly lodge. Among the rooms at this property are two family cottages, each with a total living space of 3500 sq. ft. consisting of 4 connecting rooms in each cottage, with a private hallway in between that can be opened for families traveling together. Each room is very private, with its own entrance, balcony, private hallway and large 150 sqm bathroom. Each of the rooms has 5 x 7 ft king size beds.

Restaurant: there is a restaurant with mainly buffet.
Activities: Games drives, a boat trip on the Kazinga channel offers a chance to see several bird species including the kingfisher, African jacana, yellow-backed weavers, open-billed stork, pied kingfisher, wattled plover, among others. The beautiful, steeply forested Kyambura Gorge nearby is home to not only chimpanzees, but also the red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus and many bird species.
