Kigarama Wilderness lodge

Location: Situated on one of the hills of Kigarama on the outskirts of Lake Mburo National Park exactly 1km from Sanga gate where the game drive starts is Kigarama Wilderness Lodge. Established in 2023 as part of the umbrella Uganda Cultural Lodges that is composed of two other sister lodges namely; Hoima Cultural Lodge and Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge in Bwindi. Kigarama Wilderness Lodge was named after Kigarama a brother to Mburo as emerged from the brief history of the location, which involved the two brothers Mburo and Kigarama.

Rooms: The lodge has a total number of 12 rooms/cottages so far comprising of  family cottage (deluxe double & triple) and the rest being used as doubles, singles or triples. All the rooms are a state of comfort crafted with a rustic art feel to be your home away from home and well equipped with spacious en-suite shower rooms.

Room amenities: Attached bathroom, with shower, flush toilet, wash hand basin, towels, soap and bottled water mosquito nets, mosquito coils & mosquito room spray, candles & matches

Electrical lighting in tent and bathroom, charging possibilities for cameras, batteries, etc

Dining: Enjoy an immersive dining experience from the state of the art dining area bringing you everything from breakfast to lunch and dinner. The professional chefs are well versed and equipped with skills to prepare any international or local cuisines putting into consideration all your dietary needs, thus guaranteeing you a luscious sense of taste. You can have your meals served at the terrace of the lounge while you enjoy the serene views of the surroundings and the cool breezes.

Lodge amenities:The lodge is well equipped with a variety of amenities designed to compliment your stay and make you feel right at home. From the cozy rooms to a swimming pool area, fireplace,  relaxing massage, wifi,craftshop, museum,  there is everything you need for a perfect getaway.

Activities: While at Kigarama Wilderness lodge you have an opportunity to take part in a number of sustainable activities such as boat safaris, guided nature or village walks, visiting the ankole cows, cycling safari in the park and around the community, horseback riding in the park, sunrise and sunset viewing,  also while at the lodge you will often have and opportunity to embrace breath taking panoramic views of the Lake Mburo National Park, coupled with nature overhead and experience wildlife up close grazing at your door step. In addition, you will often have a few of the animals from the park reaching the lodge creating beautiful memorable scenes of adventure.
