8 days Mara Sopa

Day 1: Nairobi> Masai Mara. Scheduled pick up from your Nairobi Hotel or direct from airport. Meet the group we depart Nairobi with a stopover at The Great Rift Valley viewpoint to witness the escarpment wall. Descent the wall and travel to Narok town for early lunch and shopping before the safari deepens in Maasai Mara. Arrive at the camp/ the lodge for check-in, little siesta followed by late afternoon game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp/ the lodge ( conform your booking) 

Day 2:  Masai Mara. Early morning enjoys African breakfast at the camp, get the packed picnic lunch boxes, and depart for a full day game viewing. Maasai Mara game reserve is widely known as the jewel for the wild animal viewing area. Explore extensively with several up-close encounters with wild animals such as lions, buffalos, and cheetahs. Elephants, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, antelopes, gazelles, impala, elands, leopard, and if lucky enough the black rhino. We go to Mara River which is the point of the crossing during the annual great migration July to October. See the hippopotamus and crocodile, break for the picnic lunch and continue with the game search till late afternoon. Return to the camp / lodge for for an optional activity, dinner, bonfire, and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara> Lake Nakuru. Early morning game drive in search of the wild cats as they return from their nocturnal hunt. They may be as well on the ground prepare to hunt the prey while grazing on open savannah grassland. Witness the sunrise and return back to the camp/lodge for  breakfast, check out and leave for Lake Nakuru. A stopover on the main highway for hot lunch arrives the budgethotel/ lodge in the late afternoon, check-in, and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru> Lake Naivasha. After breakfast enter the park. The park is famous for the pink flamingos at the lake and the sanctuary of the endangered black and white Rhinoceros. Enjoy a 4 hours game search as you visit the Rhino Sanctuary, The Lake for bird watching, and the baboon cliff. Gamedrive till about noon and we continue our way to Naivasha. Late afternoon and evening at leisure where you can visit Lake Naivasha for an optional boat ride, Visit the Crater Lake or any other activity that you will agree with the guide. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 5: Lake Nakuru > Amboseli. Our day is scheduled for a visit to Hell’s gate national park which seats in Lake Naivasha. Here we have a great opportunity to cycle or walk alongside wild animals as there are no predators. Chose if to enjoy the 14 kilometers down to the gorge with hired bicycles or a game drive with the safari vehicle. Upon arrival at the gorge, there is an option of a guided nature walk by locals at extra small fees to explore and discover why the name Hell’s gate. Late ascend to the main gate, exit Hell’s Gate National Park and drive to Amboseli with a stopover for lunch at the viewpoint. Ascend the wall and drive via Nairobi to arrive at Amboseli in the late evening before sunset at the campsite/ the lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Amboseli. After breakfast, proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return for breakfast. After breakfast, a further game drive where plains game including zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and various antelopes can be seen. You will have lunch and leisure break at the camp/lodge then end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather from the observation hill. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight at the campsite/ lodge conform your booking. 

Day 7: Amboseli > Tsavo East. Early morning enjoy another game drive for at least 2 hours and 30 minutes. The search for the elephants, lions, hyena, and views of Mount Kilimanjaro plus great camera clicks. Return to the campsite/ the lodge for full breakfast. Part of the group if there,  will return to Nairobi. With your guide decide which the best route to take either via Voi or Emali and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo East National Park is the largest National Park in Kenya with a great concentration of Big mammals and other animals. Evening game drive in search of the red soil elephants, black rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippopotamus, and crocodiles. Before sunset return to the camp/ the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Tsavo East > Nairobi.Early morning breakfast then leaving for at least 4 hours game drive. Visit the lugards waterfall and Mutanda rock, several water pods, and search for the big mammals before exiting Tsavo East National Park. From the main highway, you drive back to Nairobi or request a drop-off to the coastal line beach at extra fees that will be agreed upon at the time of booking this tour. The Kenya Safari tour will end with great African safari memories either at Nairobi or Mombasa.
