3 days Masai Mara
Day 1: Nairobi> Masai Mara. Depart Nairobi in the morning for a journey to the south through the beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Picnic lunch in Narok. We arrive in the Masai Mara and drive to the campsite on the way looking for the wild animals. Early in the evening we do a game drive in search of heavy maned lions, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other game. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. (or lodge if you have booked a lodge safari)
Day 2: Masai Mara. Today we spend a whole day in the park looking for the “Big Five”. Meals and overnight stay at the campsite/ lodge. (Optional: visit to the Masai village in the afternoon)
Day 3: Masai Mara> Nairobi. In the morning a final game drive. After breakfast we leave the Masai Mara with picnic lunch in Narok arriving Nairobi late afternoon. (around 4 pm)
4 days camping or lodge safari to the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru
Day 1: Nairobi> Masai Mara – Depart Nairobi at approximately 08.30 am en route to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. On the way we stop to enjoy the view over the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and if there is enough time we will do a game drive and then return to the lodge / camping site for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara. Today you will spend a whole day in the very famous park. Here you can see black-maned lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, zebras and so much more. Meals are taken in the lodge or on the campsite. If you stay in the park all day, you will have lunch by the river. If you have booked a lodge safari, the lodge will provide lunch in a lunch box.
Day 3: Masai Mara> Lake Nakuru. Early morning game drive followed by breakfast and departure from Masai Mara on the way to Lake Nakuru. Game drive and picnic lunch on the way. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the early evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru> Nairobi – 8:00 am: After an early breakfast we will do a game drive in Lake Nakuru known for the millions of flamingos that have this park as home base. Lake Nakuru is also sometimes called the pink lake. Furthermore, there are also water buffalos, impalas, lions, etc. and there is a rhino reserve in this park. After lunch we return to Nairobi.
You can book this safari as a camping safari or as a lodge safari. In case of a camping safari you will spend the night on campsites with basic facilities. If you have booked a lodge safari, you will spend the night in a middle class lodge such as the Sopa lodges. ( or if private safari as per agreement)
